Party Food Calculator – Calculate Food and Drink Quantities for Guests
Party food calculator determines required food and drink amounts based on guest count, event duration and food style (buffet, cocktail, seated dinner). No more too much or too little food.
The tool provides recommendations per person and total amounts for different food types: appetizers, main course, salads, desserts and beverages. You can adjust portion sizes and account for special diets.
How much food should you plan per person for parties?
For buffets per person: meat 5–7 oz, fish 3–5 oz, salad 3–5 oz, sides 5–7 oz. For cocktail parties count 8–10 bite-sized pieces per person per hour. Drinks: alcohol 10–17 oz per person for the evening, non-alcoholic 17–34 oz. Always plan for 10–15% extra.
